Cohen and Cohen Natural Stone’s policy announcement regarding COVID-19
Cohen and Cohen Natural Stone is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our staff, clients and the public. Our operations remain open in a reduced capacity during this time.
As per the Premier’s announcement on April 3, 2020 our business operations are deemed essential in the following regard:
1. Businesses that supply other essential businesses or essential services within Ontario, or that supply businesses or services that have been declared essential in a jurisdiction outside of Ontario, with the support, products, supplies, systems, or services, including processing, packaging, warehousing, distribution, delivery, and maintenance necessary to operate.
2. Maintenance, repair and property management services strictly necessary to manage and maintain the safety, security, sanitation and essential operation of institutional, commercial, industrial and residential properties and buildings.
3. Residential construction projects where,
i. a footing permit has been granted for single family, semi-detached and townhomes
ii. an above grade structural permit has been granted for condominiums, mixed use and other buildings, or
iii. the project involves renovations to residential properties and construction work was started before April 4, 2020.
4. Construction and maintenance activities necessary to temporarily close construction sites that have paused or are not active and to ensure ongoing public safety.
Until further guidance from government officials our operations will continue but in a reduced capacity. Outlined below are the measures we have put in place to serve our customers while preventing the spread of this illness.
Our location (yard, office showroom, and restroom facilities) are closed to the public. We are working with reduced staff, some who are working remotely where possible.
We are still available and can assist with sales inquiries by phone, email or video chat. Orders can be placed by email or phone. Our hours of operation will be:
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (other times can be arranged with advance notice).
Please note, all orders must be pre-paid with credit card and a receipt will be emailed. As well, we are unable to accept returns.

Pick up orders:
All pick up times must be scheduled in advance. When you arrive please contact our office for final instructions.
Due to the nature of our products and for liability reasons we cannot allow for curb-side pickup/self loading. We will still permit the loading of product by forklift into appropriate vehicles/trailers.
Please note that during this time the driver must remain in the cab of their vehicle and our forklift operator cannot leave the seat of the machine to assist (loading can only occur using the machine exclusively).
Orders cannot be broken down/manipulated to be hand loaded.
Delivery is still available with our flatbed and truck mounted forklift but may carry a longer lead time due to the current situation.
Our driver has been instructed to follow strict social distancing protocols. We will call and advise as material is being loaded on the delivery truck and the driver will call upon arrival to the delivery site for further instructions. We kindly ask that you remain in your home during the delivery process.
During the delivery the driver cannot leave the seat of their machine and we ask that clients maintain at least a 4-meter distance at all times.
